Tim Farmer has been on the airwaves for over 28 years, entertaining audiences with his journeys across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The 5-time Emmy award winning host and executive producer hosted and produced 'Kentucky Afield' for over 20 years. After 20 wonderful years with the tv show, and almost 30 years with the Department, he announced his retirement from the Department of Fish and Wildlife December 2015.
“Tim Farmer’s Country Kitchen” will be starting its 11th season and has already been nominated for an Emmy. The show has recently gone national on NETA. This show about cooking, farming, canning, gardening and smoking and preparing meats, has risen to the top of KET’s most popular shows.
Tim has a never give up attitude that has driven him to be an award winning archer, despite losing the use of his right arm as a young Marine in a devastating motorcycle accident. He uses his mouth to shoot a 70 lb bow in pursuit of large game across the continent.
Tim started cooking at an early age, and incorporated many wild game recipes into 'Kentucky Afield.' Tim was inspired and mentored by French Chef Raoul Dezprez, who befriended Tim in the late 1980's, and showed him many trade secrets.
Jon Collins was born and raised in South Central Kentucky and started hunting at a young age. Through the years, he has hunted many different game species including turkey, whitetail deer, mule deer, elk, black bear, bobcats, and coyotes in multiple states. Videography and photography has always been a passion of Jon's which led to a position at Wired Outdoors. Jon has always enjoyed hunting animals where calling comes into play. Naturally, he fell in love with predator hunting. On his very first coyote stand Jon called in 7 coyotes! Needless to say, he was hooked! Filming coyote hunts for Wired Outdoors soon became his main focus and two years later ToothAndClawTV was born. ToothAndClawTV is a 100% predator hunting show that can be viewed on multiple digital platforms.
